They also made significant strides in the US over the last 30 years in reducing cases of drunk driving. In 1980 deaths were decreased by 50% by the number of groups such as Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), an effort that helped to inform and curb dangerous driving habits. During 2017 alone almost 11,000 people died in drunk-car crashes, including more than 200 children under 14. They should keep drawing attention to the deaths from drunk driving and urge our community organizations to stop driving once and for all.
