 Is It a Cold or the Flu?
Both respiratory conditions are influenza and cold, but they are caused by different bacteria. Because of the similar symptoms of both types, distinguishing between them is difficult for symptoms alone. In specific, flu with more severe symptoms is worse than normal cold. Colds are usually milder than grippe. People with colds are more likely to have a fluffy or stuffy nose. Colds do not generally lead to serious health problems like pneumonia, bacterial infection or hospitalization. Since colds and influenza have a number of conditions, it may be difficult (or even impossible) to differentiate them on the grounds of symptoms. Tests, usually conducted in the first few days of the disease
